Chicken Update

This is for anyone that read my post from last night and was a little bit concerned about our poor chicken who was a victim of circumstance......dogs just wanna have fun, right?  Oy!

No, I do not encourage my dogs to attack our chickens.  As a matter of fact the scene in this house when someone hears a chicken squawking is very much akin to mass chaos.  Everyone in the house drops what they are doing and immediately flies out the nearest door to go help the latest victim.  This doesn't happen frequently, thank goodness, and usually we can get out there in time and the chicken only ends up losing a few feathers and maybe her dignity.  Last night was an exception and due to the air conditioning running--we couldn't hear what was going on outside very well, we didn't get out there in time to save the chicken from acquiring a bit more trauma than usual.

BUT I am happy to say that MacGyver truly did come through for us! The duct tape has seemed to work so far and our near death chicken is now walking around and eating her breakfast.....although, a bit embarrassed by the lovely gray horn type thing that is protruding from the back of her neck!  Poor wittle chicky.....

Wishing you a very uneventful day filled with no traumas....but if you do end up having a bit of trauma....remember, Duct Tape saves lives!  =)
