We are not going to go with the agency I spoke about last post. We have decided on a different one. It is actually the one we were going to go with originally but they don't place children in families with more than 5 kids. I guess now that L's wedding is getting closer and she will be moving out and also that we are almost done with our homestudy and with gathering all of our dossier paperwork, they are ok with us going through them. They just want it written in the HS that L will not be living with us. I think this agency has more of what are looking for in an agency and the wait time is a lot better too.
Oh, we survived our last immunization appointment......barely. We almost made it out the door and then #2 child keeled over. Yep, passed out right there in the waiting room of the health dept.! She really freaked out the two (college age) girls that were sitting there waiting to get their shots, #3 child got a big kick out of watching their faces! Needless to say both of them got up and moved to the other side of the room. Poor H had such a hard time recovering from this one though and she still isn't feeling quite right.
8 doctors visits, 8 blood tests, 18 shots, and 4 fainting episodes later, we are finished with the medical requirements for the adoption..........for now at least. Todd and I have to go to our travel immunization appointment and a few of the kids have to go back and get the rest of their shot series. Oh, I'll be using this "down time" to pray for the healing of my fainters!!

Hi!
Fainters...wow, that does add to the whole go to the doctors routine. My Mum was a fainter, one time when I was about 9 she did it in a department store, she had cut her finger on a shopping carriage, saw the blood, and fainted, there I was with my two younger siblings and a mum laying on the floor under a rack of clothes. An abulance and fire truck were called, my poor mum revived and was SO embarrassed, especially since it was only a wee little nick in her finger.
bless you all in your adoption journey. May His perfect peace be yours and may you not have any doubt sneak in to rob you of His Joy.
Our agency....All God's Children -doesn't have a family size (for Ethiopia)...in case you'd like to check them out...it cost $18,000- plus $9,000 more if you get a sibling. ) FYI.

Hi Wendy! I'm glad you found my blog! I absolutely love AAI. I could not be happier. I'm glad you got to read the newsletter. There are some wonderful people at AAI and the children are so well cared for at the AAI orphanages. If you have any questions or need anything, let me know! :)
