Padnos always hold some type of fundraiser leading up to the picnic and this year they choose the "Barry County Child Abuse Fund" to be the benefactors, raising over $1,000 for them! There were several company employees that were picked to be in the running for the chosen "picnic torture" of the year. One of these employees was my hubby. The scoop is, people were to donate money under the name of the person they would most like to see have to endure this "torture". The race was a close one but my hubby had a few tricks up his sleeve---including prayer--to try to make sure that HE was NOT the one in the spotlight! In the end, a generous benefactor stepped up at the last minute (no, it wasn't my husband) and pushed the totals over the top for one certain employee---thankfully, not my husband. Although, our children would have loved to watch him endure the humiliation. =)
My hubby still had to "do time" and was put in jail for a while, but at least he didn't have to endure the ultimate pain of having to sing "Jailhouse Rock" in front of all of the company employees and their families!
So here are a few pics from our time at the Padnos Company picnic of 2010.......
Cotton candy...Yum!

Nathaniel, Hana and Jake braving the "High Ropes" course.
Todd sharing a jail cell with the one and only Elvis! You thought he was dead, didn't you?! ;)
Jail break!
Todd and Hana.
We tried to get Chloe to give her Dad a hug but she started freaking out and wouldn't go anywhere near him! Guess she doesn't like to see her Dad in jail??!
This is the lucky employee that was chosen to share his vocal talents with the whole company. I have to say that he did pretty well and even seemed to enjoy himself at least a little bit.
Have a great day.....

What a small world! My dad works for Padnos in Holland and he took our oldest daughter and my niece with he and my mom to the picnic on Friday. How fun! The kids have been going for the past few years and love the time at the zoo. I had no idea about the jailhouse thing...I'll have to ask dad all about that. :)
