At our house we have an ongoing contest to see who can put the most cherries in their mouth and then actually be able to remove the seeds from them and chew them up---all with only the talent of their mouth! So Hana decided to try her hand...er um....mouth....at tackling this family challenge. =)
The current record for stuffing cherries in your mouth is held by Liz's husband Dave and his "magic number" is 16 cherries. Liz is in second with 14 cherries. Hana was only able to put 11 cherries in her mouth, but she was able to get all of the seeds out---except one...oops! Even though she only managed to get 11 in, I think that she should get extra points because Liz and Dave achieved their record with sweet cherries. And although sweet cherries ARE bigger.....stuffing your mouth with sour cherries has got to be much more difficult!
Our cherries before the washing and pitting......thank goodness the orchard has a special machine that does the work for us....for free!! =) And while we were waiting for our cherries to be washed, we went to get an ice cream cone to reward ourselves for all of our hard work.....YUM!
Now if I could only get Nathaniel to lick his ice cream instead of his sister! ;)
