Party, Party, Party.....

Wow, what a weekend!  

We paused the wedding to-do's for a couple of days so we could celebrate 2 birthdays on Saturday--mine and Nathaniel's-- and then on Sunday, Todd and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary!

Todd made me a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and he made Nathaniel a frozen strawberry cheesecake dessert and Hannah made a carrot cake.

Todd surprised me with presents galore. He got me a Wii with a Wii fit and a Wii active personal trainer....hopefully that's not his way of saying that he thinks I need to lose weight!  :)  Hannah got me a BIG bag of organic fair trade coffee and a bag of organic fair trade sugar. I also got a spiffy pair of summer slippers and various other gifts! 

 Todd also bought a pair of summer sandals for himself from me....wow, what a guy!!  Guess he figured that I was so busy with wedding preparations that I would forget to get him an anniversary gift!!  Actually, I thought we were on a spending freeze because of the adoption so I was a good girl and didn't spend any money.  But apparently the money fairy came in the middle of the night and gave Todd a little something to buy a few gifts with.

 For our anniversary Todd went on a World Market shopping spree.  He bought a picnic basket and stuffed it full of yummy things to eat like cheeses/crackers, snack mixes/cashews and chocolate. 

With this celebration weekend now over and we are looking ahead to next weekend's celebration and we are frantically trying to finish all of the wedding details.  We only have 4 days left to take care of business before the big day!  Please pray for sunshine for us.....outdoor wedding planning is soooo scary!!
