Great news....I was able to pick up the notarized copies of our homestudy today! Our social worker (Char) sent a copy to AAI on Friday and it should be arriving there today! I called AAI to tell them to expect our homestudy today and to ask if our dossier cover letter came back from the Washington State Dept. yet (I was thinking that we were now waiting for that to come in so we can send all of our paperwork to the Embassy and State Dept. to get the last of the certifications and seals). She said "Yes, it came in and as of 3/5 it went back out with our power of attorney letter, they are at the State Dept./Embassy to get the seals".  I about fell over!  I thought we needed to get all of the paperwork in before we could send it off to get the final seals. I didn't know that it was only those 2 documents that needed to go!  So as of last Thursday our papers have been traveling and should be back at AAI by the 26th of this month--or sooner. We will be on the waiting list sometime before this month ends!! Woot! What a great surprise for us today....I thought we wouldn't make it on the list until early to mid April!  Unbelievable!
