Once our eyes are opened we cannot pretend we do not know what to do. God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls knows we know, and holds us responsible to act. Proverbs 24:12

Sooo....we met with our social worker on the Friday before Christmas. 3 hour appointment...wow. She said we were at least 1/3 of the way done, so that's great. She is coming here next Wednesday to check out our house and to talk with each of the kids and myself individually. Todd will have to go to her office to do his individual interview and Liz might have to do that too if she won't be able to be here on Wednesday. We have most of the paperwork needed to finish the homestudy and we even have the majority of what is needed for our dossier that will be sent to Ethiopia. We are still waiting on my birth certificate though. I can't apply for a passport until it comes, plus as soon as it gets here I have to turn around and send it back to California to be certified before it can be added to our dossier.

This morning I am going to the doctor to get my physical and later today Todd, Liz, and I will make a trip out to West Olive to the Ottawa County Sheriff's office to request our background checks. We are also going to try and accomplish the task of getting our passport photos taken and fill out the apps for that. Todd's can be sent in now but I will continue to wait before I can send mine in. Next week is full to the brim with doctor appointments for the kids and basketball games. Somewhere we need to sneak in some immunizations too.....fun stuff. We also will be working on the house, getting it ready for inspection. So if anyone wants to just drop by unexpected like, now's the time to do it...our house will be clean!!! ;) Hurray for clean houses!!

Today begins and ends with basketball. Todd just took Hannah to her game and Nathaniel plays tonight. I'm off to get something done before my doctor's appt.

Have a great day!
Wendy
